Something not working, or not making sense?
We would like to hear about it.
The best way to reach us
Use Feedback, in the app under Settings. It sends your message along with the version of the app you are running and your device's operating system, which usually saves us both a round of questions.
One thing worth knowing about that form: the email field is optional, and it is never filled in for you, even when you are signed in. That is deliberate, so a message you want to send anonymously stays that way. But it does mean that if you would like a reply, you need to add your address. Without it we can read what you sent, and we have no way to answer you.
If you can't open the app
Email tada-help@one-of-us.dev.
If you are writing about something going wrong, it helps to know which phone you are using and roughly when it happened. The more detail, the better, but anything you can tell us is better than nothing.
We read everything that comes in and reply as soon as we can. If a while has passed and you have heard nothing, please check your spam folder in case our response landed there.
Accounts
An account is optional. The app works exactly the same without one. The only thing an account does is keep a copy of your tasks, wins, thoughts and settings on our servers, so you can get them back if you lose your device.
One account per device
A phone can be linked to one account at a time. This keeps one person's data from ever mixing with another's on a shared or handed-down device.
If you sign out and then try to sign in with a different email address, the app will stop you and explain why, and offer you the option to uncouple the device. Uncoupling unlinks the phone from the account and clears the local copy of your data from that phone. Your account itself is untouched. It stays on our servers with everything in it, and you can sign back into it on that phone or any other, at any time.
Uncoupling a device and deleting an account are different things. Uncoupling is reversible. Deleting is not.
If you forget your password
On the sign-in screen, tap I forgot my password. We email a code to your account's address. Enter the code, choose a new password, and you are back in.
The code arrives by email, so if it has not appeared after a few minutes, please check your spam folder.
If the code never arrives
The most likely reason is that the address on the account is not quite the address you are checking. We do not verify email addresses when an account is created, so a small typo at sign-up will not be noticed at the time, and it only shows up later, at the moment you need the code.
If you think that has happened, email tada-help@one-of-us.dev and tell us the address you meant to use. We will work it out with you.
